Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

My newest pet peeve is Amazon reviews that were paid for with free merchandise. Almost makes me want to stop shopping at Amazon. Unbiased reviews are the reason I started shopping at Amazon & still one of the primary reasons I do so. They definitely make me distrust such reviews. I had a hard time finding a carafe like this without paid reviews, which made choosing one difficult. This was a very poor choice. It's too small (holds only 2 large glasses of liquid); the lid is WAY too loose (I just dumped its entire contents on the floor for the second time, prompting me to come write a review)--it doesn't even make ANY contact with the body of the carafe!! The lid is cheap plastic. It has no way of keeping refrigerator odors out (which I knew before purchase, but it's still a disadvantage). I didn't need another pitcher.....I wanted one I could make fruit water with. This one is a failure in that regard. It would be easier to use a (larger) pitcher I already have with a mesh strainer I already have.
