I purchase glass bottles regularly, and I’m aware they don’t last forever. But out of all of the bottles I’ve bought, these hardly lasted a fraction of the time most do. After a few weeks, the tops started to smell and mold. I’m a woodworker, so I know better than to leave wood sitting I water. I washed them and wiped them off straight away. But they are varnished with a cheap poly of some sort, and the bamboo gets dinged so that water gets beneath the finish and bacteria grows. It quickly smells like dirty feet, and imagine drinking putting your mouth on that!! Don’t buy any of these with the wooden lids unless you know they are using a natural finish (kind of like a butcher block) because otherwise you’re going to be re-buying these in a few weeks.
