So, I am revising my previous five star review. Used to love the thing, but the last few months I've been frustrated. Wished the controls could be more customizable. Tonight, I decided to throw in the towel. Was so excited to come home and make some corned beef for dinner! What I loved about it is that things that take 6-8 hours in a Crock-Pot take less than an hour in the pressure cooker. Not today! Put the corned beef in, it was all garlic powdered and paprika'd up and seared...put the lid on with adequate liquid. Started building steam and then I noticed that it smelled, and the steam was smoke! Saw sparks and ran over to unplug it. The part of the cord that plugs into the cooker had melted and was causing an electrical fire. Not sure of this is a fluke or not, but a fluke that could potentially burn my house down on not one I want in the kitchen.
