Before ordering I used the measuring chart, and also asked ScotteVest customer service, and only then, ordered an XL size. When trying on the coat I realized that the fit is bad pretty much everywhere: (for the record, I have a nice "hourglass" figure, cup D boobs, and i'm 5'7.) The sleeves were too long (way too long, and i'm a tall person) The waist was too large, and the belt is insanely long - even the last belt notch didn't fit well, and I had to tie the belt in a knot for it to fit. The overall size (hips and booty area) was also too big, and made me look heavier than normal. and.. alas... if by this point you think I should have gotten a L, keep reading: The chest area was way way too SMALL, like, made only for cup A boobs small... I felt the coat smashing my boobs.. and D cup is normal, even a C will get crowded in there.. The sad thing about it all is: most of the pockets are in the chest area.. if the coat was "just" too big, that would leave room for all the pockets.. but I tried putting things in the pockets and it was horrible: the 2 outer chest pockets were unusable (try shoving a smartphone on top of a very tightly smashed boob, it hurts, and it bulges) same with the inner pockets - the ones made for a phone are in the chest area and are not usable. The fabric also feels a bit low quality, it's a "noisy" fabric, you can hear it with every move you make. and the buttons feel like they won't stay on after even a short time. overall, I was very disappointed with the fit, make and quality of this 195$ coat, after years of wanting a SctotteVest, finally getting one made me feel horrible, and I'm afraid to try any other product of theirs. I returned this item, but lost the shipping fees (25$ with the return cost) for nothing. this was a bad experience for me. Beware, woman who have a curvy body - this coat was designed for men.
