First thing I have felt compelled to review: We are returning ours. The bases are plastic, and not heavy enough for the tree. With any amount of wind they blow right over. Additionally, the plastic bases are not completely flat on the bottom, which decreases their stability. At least that is the way both of ours are. Frustrating, as they are pretty!! Perhaps putting weights in the bottom would help. And for indoor use, the wind would not be an issue. But right out of the box, they are not designed well for the outdoors.
