11/20/17 UPDATE: Potential SAFETY HAZARD--After using this water dispenser for 3 months, I am noticing small metallic-looking shards in the glasses of water. Believe it is the silvery paint coming from the inside/breakdown of the metallic-colored plastic spigot. Recommend users look closely for metallic-looking shards moving in the water (neither float nor sink to bottom) after water is poured. I don't see anything inside the dispenser, but after pouring into a clean glass the shards are there. (See attached photos and video.) I've sent an email to ZeroWater; they have been very proactive and asked me to return the spigot for inspection, offering a replacement unit. A+ for customer service. Pros: Terrific design, metal base and lid, glass mid-section. Looks great in kitchen. Cons: Poor quality control--glass had an exterior bubble and vertical crack that luckily did not go all the way through to the inside, so structurally sound. The pour spout is plastic and has the same problem that a previous spout on another ZeroWater dispenser had...it's pour rate is painfully slow--a trickle. This seems to be caused by a vacuum being created as the top is sealed. When I lifted the white plastic fill basin up the flow rate increased dramatically. Perhaps future iterations should include an air hole near the top of the white basin to prevent a vacuum forming. Overall: Looks great, but may end up going back to a regular pitcher where at least you can get water to pour out, or I may drill a hole in the upper part of the white reservoir to see if that helps.
