I LOVE making my own body products and shea butter is one of my favorite ingredients for moisturizing my skin! However, I used it for a little and brought what I had left through the airport (under 3 oz) and I got stopped by TSA for having a potentially dangerous item. When they swabbed the actual product, it came back as a class 4 explosive! (flammable solids; substances liable to spontaneous combustion; substances which emit flammable gases when in contact with water) They later confiscated the item and I had to be interviewed. I love shea butter, but TSA is telling me that I'm putting a potentially dangerous product on my skin.
