At first I really liked how each card is poetically interpreted in the book that comes along with the cards. I jumped right in with the cards, and then went back and started reading the book. I was really disturbed when I got to her guidance on how to interpret the minor arcana court cards. Why did she feel the need to add her input about possible skin, hair and eye color based on the suits??? It seems very biased and adds undue influence on a new reader who may not question her interpretation of the cards. Is she saying that someone with dark skin and eyes can’t be dreamy and idealistic? That people with dark skin are not “warm” in nature? Based on what? I really didn’t like that and it smacked of either white supremacy or colorism to me. Her cards don’t even have people on them! On top of that, the cards stick together which makes it hard to shuffle them and get a good reading. I really wanted to like these cards, and I’m really disappointed.
