I purchased this 12 inch lid because the other two I have worked so well for me. My older ones are 9 inch and 12 inch, without the Modern Innovations logo. I was recently gifted with two new 12 inch skillets. Since I use both sometimes, I needed another lid. I purchased this one. After a trip thru the dishwasher, I used it the next evening. It was covering a skillet full of braised beef cubes awaiting addition of the gravy from the other pan. I heard some cracking/snapping sounds and as I turned to see if I had spilled liquid on the stove top, the glass part of the lid shattered into the skillet. So not only were we out an $18 lid, our dinner was ruined. With all the glass, I couldn't even give it to the dog. No more of these for me. I did not contact Amazon or the manufacturer, no point in the hassle or the paperwork. I just won't buy any of their products in the future.
