Doesn't feel high-quality
PROS: The only good thing about these pens is that they are clearly color-coded which makes it easy for me to pick the correct pen for the job, as I use ink refills that match the colors of the pen bodies.
CONS: This doesn't have the professional feel I was hoping for. The weight is so-so - not as heavy as I'd like, but not too cheap feeling either. It's the cliker and the overall refinement that's missing here.
Plenty of times I click my pens and they don't retract or engage, and this is annoying. When I want to write or store my pens, I just want to write or store my pens! Shouldn't take more than one click when a cheapie pen can do it right every.single.time without fault.
The metal used on these pens just seems chintzy. It's not polished, and it feels like a mix of several metals that collects oils from my hands and I suspect may turn color or stain over time.
I had medium hopes for these pens because I love this retro style and because I use the Fisher Space Pen Parker refills in these pens to make them my pseudo-Space-Pen everyday pens since I love the pressurized Fisher Space Pen refills so much. I only own four pens, all of them with Fisher Space Pen inks. As those refills are designed to fit into these pens and as the original inks that came with these pens give the same results - faulty clicking action - I can't blame the Fisher inks.
Let's just say...if you're in this to strategically minimize the pens in your house and have one high quality pen of each color, these aren't your friends. Splurge (as I was unwilling to do at the time) and get a real high-quality pen. This was a waste of money.
I don't recommend this product.
I do recommend Fisher products.
