When I first got the bike, I thought it was great. And the bike is ok. Seems to be pretty solidly built. After a couple of months, the display stopped turning off when I stopped pedaling. The design had a short display, then it would power down, and when you start pedaling again, the display would light up and everything would be reset to zero--pretty much standard for exercise equipment. Now, the display stays on constantly and the counters keep running. I can reset the important parameters, but it seems to take forever for it to know that I am pedaling. Ok, so the display has a glitch. No biggie, right? WRONG. Because Nordic Track does not honor its guarantees (supposedly one year parts and labor). I have logged on to the web site, uploaded all the pertinent info and proof of purchase. They have a form for asking for assistance, which I have filed 3 times with them. I get an auto message saying they will respond by phone or email. NOTHING received from them--except a barrage of emails asking me to extend my guarantee for one or more years. Regardless of how sturdy the machine is, the company DOES NOT HONOR its guarantees. Buy from anyone else, but stay away from Nordic Track. The only thing you will ever get from them is solicitations for extending their WORTHLESS guarantee.
