I loved this series. I really did. The first two books were better than anything I’ve read in this genre since The Hunger Games. But once again, another author stumbles to deliver an ending worthy of the first two books. This one went way out to left field - zombies, cyborgs, gods, alternate universes, none of it made any sense. None of it followed anything that was laid out in the first two books. Only the characters themselves remained. I imagine it is difficult to write an ending that will make readers happy, but why completely change the whole feel of the story and make it something else? If you loved the first two books, you probably will be disappointed with this final chapter. You can skip it and imagine your own ending, which will be more satisfying than what was delivered. The way she resolved the love triangle at the end was particularly unsatisfying. Huge plot holes at the end as well. Ugh. So disappointing. Reader beware.
