Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I had previously given this item a 1 star because it leaked horribly. After contacting their customer service they offered to take back the item and even paid for postage and would ship another replacement BUT only if I removed my initial negative review. I agreed to remove it and wait for the replacement but apparently I did not remove the review correctly or they didn't see the updated removal or whatever. They subsequently sent me what I perceived to be a stern email stating the "I had promised to remove this review in return for a replacement dispenser". That said, I asked for a refund because I did not like their tone in their emails nor their requirement to remove negative comments in order to obtain a replacement for what was a DEFECTIVE ITEM in the first place!! They should stand behind the items they sell regardless whether a customer posts negative information about it. I even offered to post positive feedback once I received the replacement and tested it to make sure the 2nd one worked. Guess that wasn't good enough and they would rather lose a customer over a $13 item. So be it..consider it done... They said they have issued a refund and I'm glad I won't be doing business with them any further... Had to add this comment--anyone who gives this item 5 stars either works for this company or is using a different brand because this thing did nothing but leak...when I say leak..I mean constant puddle of batter on my counter which is why I went back to the good old bowl with pouring lip and spatula...works better than this piece of junk!!! I'm starting to question all these "positive" reviews that I see on Amazon because when I've used various products that were inferior YET I see all these raves reviews it makes me question the integrity of these reviews...no way the exact same product worked differently...sorry, I just don't believe any of these 5 star reviews...the product simply doesn't warrant 5 stars to begin with..it's not that good. If the thing leaks..then it doesn't do what it promises....how can anyone gives this item a pass when it doesn't do what it was designed to do..HOLD BATTER!! ***UPDATED 1/2/13 I was actually given another type of batter dispenser some time ago but it had no manufacturer on it so I did a search and found this one at Amazon that MIGHT be the exact same model Collections Etc Batter Dispenser Measuring Like I told others, I am not 100% certain this is the same one I have but they could be "twins" as they are exact in design and function....mine is all plastic, never leaks, easy to clean and light weight and you can use it for any type of batter...this is how a dispenser should be made and paying anything more than $15 at most is ridiculous for what it does unless you are a commercial business that would wear out this item...if anyone buys this one let me know how it works...mine is rock solid. ***updated item info.. found the same one at Sears for $9.99 [...] Can't beat the price.
