While this item my be safe to clean in the dishwasher, it's not safe to use in the oven if you do clean it that way. Not sure how common this is, but my airbake got water in it in the dishwasher. It "blew up", for lack of a better term, in the oven because of the steam. I recommend hand washing this item. And I recommend T-Fal, the maker of this product, to stop calling this product dishwasher safe. Now I have to see if they'll give me a replacement.
