Broke After 3 Months
I had a Paul Revere tea kettle for about 20 years, it never broke but I just felt like upgrading to a new kettle. I bought this Chef's Secret tea kettle for it's surgical grade stainless steel and copper bottom. I was pleased with the kettle out of the box as it's very attractive and has a heft to it that makes it seem strong and well made. It's still a pretty tea kettle but I was really wrong about it being well made. This morning, after just three months of use, which essentially consists of making three cups of tea a day, that's all, the tea kettle spring mechanism that opens the tea cap, broke. It's now a useless piece of lovely stainless steel! I tried to fix the spring but it's definitely broken and the handle lever has detached itself from the teakettle cap. So, don't buy this kettle, there are better ones out there, they may not be as pretty but at least they won't break on you after three months!
