I know this is a "101" book, which is meant to be introductory, but this book is very slim on details. It is almost unusable. If you know anything at all about Bush Craft, this book probably won't be useful to you. I was really surprised at the lack of detail and the lack of useful drawings. A much better book is "Bushcraft" by Mors Kochanski. You could almost take that book into the woods and survive. As an added bonus, Kochanski has a bunch of free video available on the net. Bottom line: This is not really worth purchasing. Maybe you could spend 15 - 20 minutes in the library or bookstore browsing through it, but you wouldn't go back to it if you had it on the shelf at home.
