I’m a professional hairdresser and I did a lot of research before purchasing this product. I really liked it for about the first month. I like the weight, the way the blades cut and the look. The main issue I read about seems to be the charging stand. I have to say that it’s really poorly made, extremely difficult to get the trimmer to connect to the stand and may take 10 to 12 tries before the green light will come on to start the charge. Those issues began happening after about the first month. I purchased it in July and now it won’t even hold a charge; the light comes on the turns off almost immediately, after which the battery lasts about 20 seconds. It’s essentially now dead in the water. I am assuming or hoping that I just got a defective model because I expect so much more from a company like Andis. It appears that product support has run out ( I should have sent it back right when I first started experiencing the problems but hoped it was a fluke) but I’ll take a chance and send it back now and see if they step up to the plate. If so I’ll revist this review and keep you updated. In the meantime I’m looking to move over to Wahl as I’ve absolutely loved the Magic Clip cordless clippers.
