The soles are very iffy especially if you drag your feet or turn suddenly, you need to pick up your feet otherwise you will stumble on carpeting and on wood floors. I have had to discontinue wearing them due to falling once and nearly falling several times. The soles also leave tracks on my wood flooring ... so that's a real bummer. They hug my feet and feel great! I really like these slippers. They have given my feet the support they need for my plantar faciitis and Achilles issues. They are adjustable which is good. I wanted to add, I have washed and dried these three times. They are still fine. So sad I cannot wear them any longer.
