If you buy this product, PLEASE make sure you reformat the drive to a compatible format that plays well with macOS. I bought this drive and it was corrupted 1 week later. Luckily, I'm familiar with data recovery and was able to recovery the data and make the drive mountable to my macbook pro again through terminal commands and software recovery programs. I almost thought I had lost years of work. This product should not be advertised as mac compatible AT ALL. It only is if you know how to reformat disk drives.
