I received this item as a gift two Christmases ago, and as an avid cook, I was excited. As all the other reviews stated, the carousel conveniently organizes and dispenses. My issue with the product is that it doesn't seal the contents well. After about a week or two, the dried herbs quickly turned brown, and spices started losing their strength. I should have anticipated this problem when my cabinets smelled much stronger of spices when I replaced my bottles with the rack. Herbs and spices are very expensive, I want them to last as long as possible. The design would benefit from rubber gaskets around the openings to truly seal the containers. I've gone back to conventional spice bottles on a rotating shelf.
