When this 1st arrived I was pleased with the weight of the contained in that it is sturdy and will stand up to lots of use. The seal is good. However, the lever is not removable and makes cleaning difficult. Also, it is dishwasher safe, but how to stack in the dishwasher so the hinged lid stays open and all the water/soap/cleaning solutions exit the leveler and the recesses of the lid? That is a real problem. This also makes hand washing a little tricky for getting every part dry before adding the flour. My other problem is with the volume. It does hold 5# of flour; however you cannot use the leveler until it is about 1/2 empty. 5# of flour fills the container to the top. I had this item washed and thrown away the paper that came with it, so I cannot return it. So I will use it until I find something better. It is too pricey for the value, in my opinion.
