My mom downloaded this book on her Kindle and was absolutely disgusted by the unwarranted & unsubstantiated political attacks on Conservatives. Since she is recovering from chemo, she didn't have the energy to write a review so, I bit the bullet and stepped in to take one for the team. First, let me state uncategorically that my family is Libertarian. We are not conservative. We are not liberals. We believe in both personal AND financial freedom. Second, I am the proud descendant of many who have fought for this country's freedom going back to the Revolutionary War. Many of my ancestors' lives have been given in defense of the U.S. Constitution and all it means for me and you. As a corellary, we believe in the TRUTH and abhor those who endeavor to twist it to their own political gain. What horrified me about this book is that it is very thinly veiled liberal propaganda spouting out and out LIES in order to vilify conservatives. But what do I care? I'm a Libertarian. It doesn't concern me right? WRONG! Lies are lies and should be revealed as such. The point at which I could no longer handle Mars' attacks was when he said something about bomb throwing Tea Partiers. What the hell? I honestly can not come up with even one instance when the Tea Party sanctioned ANY form of violence! And as for them being anarchists... Uh no.... They are more closely aligned with the Constitutionalists who are more interested in following the supreme law of the land than anarchy! I really don't know if Mars is that ignorant or if he is writing this garbage to try to influence the political landscape; however, the hatred and nastiness he spews is not worth anyone's time....especially mine!
