No way to back up
I initially was very smitten with this app. I loved the color coded notebooks, which allowed me to organize my notes in the way that would be most effective. I loved the tabs, although, I wished I had the ability to add more. Adding the additional pages was very handy and useful.
After filling up my notebook, I tried to figure out if there was a way to back up, but there didn't seem to be. I also have My Writing Spot and that allows me to back up & sync to my desk top, so I thought perhaps My Binder offered the same. No such luck. This alone wouldn't have been a big deal to me, but than disaster struck.
I was downloading some apps and videos for my two year old to play/watch. In the mist of this, My Binder went to the cloud. Not sure how, it just disappeared from my carousel. When I searched on my apps, I had to download it from the cloud, which I did. I went into the app and it was empty of all my previous work.
So, although, it has great features, the inability to back up or sync it, makes it an unusable app - at least for me. If you are going to use the app, make sure you have a reasonable back up in case disaster strikes you as well.
Now, I'm off to give Springpad a test run. I'm not comfortable with the Permissions required of Evernote, which is unfortunate, as I believe it'd have been a great app for me.
