I have successfully been making my own bone broth for a year now. I have been looking for a product to fill in when I am not able to make my own or when I travel so I purchased the six pack of both chicken and beef. My first observation of the chicken broth is the product did not have the thick gelatinous consistency well cooked marrow and knuckle bones produce. The collagen or "gelatin" is one of the most important aspects of bone broth especially for those of us on the paleo diet or healing our intestines from years of fast food abuse. The color was a golden orange but cloudy. Last, the flavor was terrible and left me with an aftertaste that left me a bit nauseous. I will be throwing the other five containers away in disappointment. I have not found a product that can beat a good home cooked bone broth or fill in as a suitable substitute yet.
