No thanks!
A movie that, at the heart of it, is trying to convince its viewers that a woman should have no say or control over her own body. It attempts to feed on ones emotions, and for many of the sheep, it does. I’m going to make a movie about women who were raped or sexually abused, who tried to get an abortion, but were stopped by their ProLife families. I’ll also cover the child brides of America that will include an 11 year old girl who was forced to marry her rapist because he was a “prominent church member” who would have gone to jail for rape had her parents not blamed her for the actions of a grown man, a man that forced himself on her and impregnated her, and due to her family’s “spiritual beliefs,” they put this man above the well-being of their OWN child. This happens more than you know. People think that such a thing in America is unthinkable, but it is an epidemic at the core of far right evangelicals, to make a pregnancy a priority, the ONLY priority for women, even in cases of rape, incest, and at the peril of a female’s health.
This movie has only one agenda and that’s to take away the autonomy and sovereignty that a women should ALWAYS have when it comes to governing their/our own bodies. This is the type of movie that will get doctors, who put the well-being of women and girls above an agenda, killed. We’ve already seen what happens when the flames of the unreasonable are fanned, as one so called “television journalist” did that ultimately got George Tiller, a gynecologists, murdered in cold blood for providing women’s health services.
This woman had 2 abortions herself and now she selfishly wants to take away that right from others!? She worked for Planned Parenthood and finally witnessed an abortion and that turned her off to it!? I believe that she just finally caved into her family and friends beliefs. How dare they! This isn’t about ProLife. If it were ProLife, they’d care just as much about what happens after those children are born, but once they’re out of the womb, they’re on their own and usually looked down on by society in regards to race and social class as “burdens to society.” America is locking children up in cages because they weren’t born here. Why aren’t the ProLifers fighting for them as much as they are about the unborn? The answer is that they’re really not ProLife. This is ProBirth only, a movement designed to keep women in their place in a patriarchal society. I will fight tooth and nail to make sure no woman ever has to seek out unsafe and unsanitary abortions. These are our mothers, sisters, and daughters! They’re us and they/WE deserve to decide what is best for our own bodies. We are more than just incubators.
