I would not advise anyone to purchase this product. Here’s why…. Wanting to replace two hubs that have been working fine for more than six years, but are physically clumsy to use, I ordered one of these Amazon models, checked it out briefly (keeping it as a spare) and ordered two for the replacements, which I placed into use immediately. In daily use I noticed that inserting a (male) a plug into the Amazon hub required more force that I was accustomed to, but shrugged it off. After about a week I noticed that the flash drive I’d been using most frequently with the Amazon hubs was not being “recognized” by my computer until it had been removed and re-inserted into the Amazon once or twice. On the tenth day, it was almost never recognized. More importantly, I found that the flash drive in question was no longer recognized when plugged into any other hub or into the computer directly. As I read the purchase terms for “computer equipment on the page I ordered from, the hubs, once used, cannot be returned, so I’m out the purchase price of three hubs. And had to trash one flash drive along with the three hubs.
