Neither Brooklyn nor copper. Just imported junk.
Buyer beware! This is a scam riding on the coat-tails of an authentic domestic American manufacturer of copper cookware. Full disclosure: I'm a customer and fan of the American copper maker, which is what drew my attention to the Brooklyn Brownie Copper Pan (via an infomercial) in the first place. I checked, and the American maker has nothing to do with this cheap aluminum thing (there's no copper in it - look it up on Chinese manufacturing wholesale sites), but they're already getting calls from dissatisfied buyers (of something they did not make) about how to get a refund for brownie pans that are already falling apart. While talking with the American maker I asked how the marketers of this junk get away with their fraud and trademark infringement and was told that although trademarks are probably being violated, it's much too expensive for a small company to go after infringers. And besides by the time any action could be taken these scammers will have sold their millions of units and be gone from the market - probably in 6 months or so. To me, why this kind of fraud is allowed by Amazon is even more baffling. Read other Amazon reviews for the truth about faux-copper pans - cheap, copper-colored non-stick "enamel" paint fails after a few uses and is likely an equally toxic variant on Teflon. I think this kind of marketing is especially awful, directly leveraging a quality American name to sell mass-produced imported trash. It's hard enough for American manufacturing to get ahead as it is. Save your $40 to spend on good things made in the US. The Brooklyn Brownie Copper Pan is a lie, a fraud and a cheat. Even the name doesn't make any sense! Most importantly, it has nothing to do with Brooklyn or copper, and everything to do with making its marketers a quick pile of money. Please don't be suckered in. And Amazon, if you're listening, you can be a better American company yourself by watching out for this kind of scam.
