Bought this because of all the 5-star reviews... The first impression was good. It was very quiet and put out lots of vapor. Then... Leaked twice in only one week of usage. It did not regulate the water level well in its basin, so water seeped out. First time I thought it was a fluke. Then it happened again in the middle of night, water dripped off the kitchen counter and caused water damage on our hardwood floor. Also the fan got noisier after just 3 days. And noticed a long crack in the blue reservoir along the sloped side, though water did not leak from there. Returning to Amazon. [Update 2017.01.27] The vendor saw my 1-star review. Sent me another unit and asked me to change my review. So here it is. I ran it in the kitchen sink. No problem for two weeks, then it leaked again. It just doesn't know how to regulate water level in the basin. I have had several humidifiers over the years (they all seem to fail after 4-5 years) so I know it's not me. I was also able to replicate the long crack on the slope side of the tank on the second humidifier. When I fill the tank and flip it over by holding the flimsy handle on top. The handle joint put so much stress on the tank, the tank cracked. Though again, the water did not leak from the crack. Unlike the first unit, the second unit stayed quiet throughout. Very nice. So I would definitely rate the vendor 5-star for going out of the way to resolve issue, but the humidifier itself remains 1-star.
