I have a lot of SimpliSafe products, locks, sensors, wired cameras, etc so I was excited to give this outdoor wireless camera a try. It looks great and the mounting solution is strong. I like the built in light and speaker. But I have to say this camera is absolutely useless. I’ve got it aiming at my garage and I can walk past it 20 times and it will catch me on video maybe once. All of the other videos are after I’ve walked by with no evidence of me on video. It would serve no purpose if you had an intruder. Also it doesn’t send notifications. I have it within 10 feet of a router and I have google fiber with multiple mesh routers. It’s just a poorly designed product software wise I guess. It’s really a shame because it looks and costs what you’d expect a high quality camera to.
