We purchased Zojirushi CD-WBC30 Micom Electric 3-Liter Water Boiler and Warmer, Champagne Gold at 12/2013. Now we found the cover is showing rust on several spots of the stainless steel part. The Zojirushi customer service is really not helpful and very rude. They did not read my claim and thought the rust is on the coated container. They first told us to follow the instruction manual to clean the liner. After we explained the rusted spots are on the stainless part of the lid, they simply told us the rust is not harmful to body and we should live with it or pay another $26 to buy a new lid! Rust on stainless part within 2 months of use is absolutely a defect of product. Zojirushi just refused to cover this with warranty and their customer service is NOT helpful at all. Considering all the positive reviews, we paid high price for expectation of high quality product. We definitely will NOT recommend any friend to buy this product and also stay away from Zojirushi products considering their non-existing customer service.
