I bought this to run a stereo, lights and battery chargers in a travel trailer parked in the mountains. From the start I had a problem with the engine revving up and then cutting out and stopping a couple of minutes after starting. Then it would be hard to restart. Sometimes it would do this 2 or 3 times and then run O.K. While it was running, it handled the load fine. When the generator suddenly stopped and was hard to restart about two hours into a running cycle, I called Amazon. They put a Generac tech on the phone who was unhelpful. All he could tell me was to take it to a service center. The closest one to my location is over 250 miles away in Denver, so I told Amazon I wanted my money back and I would return it. No problem with Amazon. They gave me a refund. Other things about this generator I don't like - It's hawked as a quiet model that can be run in a campground, but it's not that quiet at all - it would be too loud for a high density campground. I was also amazed that it has no oil drain plug. You have to tip the generator over on it's side to drain the oil for changing. This is messy and in my view non-eco friendly because it's hard to not spill oil on the ground and all over the bottom of the machine. Horrible design. Encourages people to pour used oil on the ground. I asked the service tech if having to tip the machine over could cause a fuel valve or float to stick and he said "yes." Unbelievable! This product is not designed for everyday use. In my experience, if you need a good reliable generator, be ready to pay significant money - this is my 3rd bad experience with reasonably priced generators.
