I was so excited for this toy. I love Jackson Galaxy; I trusted him. This toy *is* very well engineered - however, the construction is absolutely terrible. The pole snapped in half within five minutes of playing with my cat - nay, a large kitten. As we made due with what we had, using the broken end of the pole to dance the feathers around, the six inches of flimsy metal somehow managed to snap in half AGAIN, leaving me with a sharp metal nub too small to hold. It's a shame, because the feather lure instantly caught my cats' attention. Now they're just carrying that around in their mouths and mewing loudly at me to give them something I am unable to. My husband blames the cats, saying they're "too muscular". The cat that broke it is five months old, more suited for the life of an indulgent supermodel or a movie starlet than for lifting weights. She's too dainty, eyeliner too well applied to be blamed for such a tragedy. Sadly, I must advise one and all to give this disappointment a wide berth.
