This book is a very long winded justification for the war crimes Eddie committed. As the old adage goes, patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel. Clothing one's heinous actions as somehow being related to freedom makes a mockery of the ideals of our Republic. No amount of "explaining" is going to take the taint away from this man's actions.
