Update 2/1/2019: Is it even legal to allow these things for sale? I thought UCC prevented hazardous electric appliances from being sold. See the fourth photo uploaded, last on right. This is the replacement light they sent me. See all the black? Those are burn marks. This light was so bad it caused my fuses to blow. Finally, I went to Home Depot. Same price. No problems. Watch the video. Those sounds are sparks burning the inside bottom of the light socket. These things are not safe. Update on replacement: It still doesn't work. The company sent me one replacement, for four lights that do not work properly, and the replacement now spits and flashes intermittently. By spit I mean it makes sparking noises that sound like there are sparks spitting in the socket where the bulb fails to properly connect. I uploaded a video showing how the light flashes when I touch the base and with the sparking sound. Not sure if the video uploaded or not. The two pictures show what the sockets look like, with broken plastic and burn marks from electric sparks. Downgrading this review back down to one star: My experience with this company has not been good. Scroll down to read the original 1-star review. They offered to send me replacements if I improved my review, then they only sent me one replacement light for the 4 that I bought and all of which failed to function properly. As I write this, one of them is buzzing and zapping intermittently due to a poor connection in the socket. One burnt out and started smoking, see photo, and the last one I looked at has burn marks around the socket connectors also. It seems the lights I received were from a bad batch. Updated review after they promised replacements: This review is updated to 3 stars after the company contacted me and said they will replace the defective lights. I appreciate this and will update the review again after I have a chance to test out the replacements. Original Review: I bought four of these less than a year ago and am looking to replace them. The usage is home lighting with the lights on no more than 4-6 hours a day. Even with this light use, these lights are unreliable and unsafe, in my experience. UNRELIABLE These lights look good but they do not work well at all. Within months, the lights that I bought became unreliable. This means the lights did not work unless I adjusted them. Any kind of vibration might cause the light to go out, like stepping on the floor. It is frustrating to have lights that go off without being turned off. The worst one started smoking and burning the plastic around the light bulb screw in outlet. FIRE HAZARD This is a MAJOR FIRE HAZARD. They should probably not be allowed for sale for this reason. I smelled the plastic but did not know what it was at first. I figured it out by smelling the light and determining that it was the source of the smell. The image attached shows the burnt portion at the bottom of the socket where the bulb connects to the electric source. The plastic casing around this socket also broke which may be a result or cause of the bulb burning the socket and producing smoke. HEALTH HAZARD I was lucky it did not catch fire but I did have to breathe noxious fumes which is not healthy. SAFETY HAZARD I strongly recommend not buying these lights and would even suggest Amazon review them and consider not including them for sale on Amazon due to health, quality, and safety issues related to this product.
