I have been using this protein powder daily for 3 months now. I use 3 tbsp in my smoothie every single morning. For the last 2 months, I haven't been feeling 100% myself. I have a sensitivity to MSG and react badly to it. I knew for sure I had not eaten anything containing MSG because I have eaten no processed foods at all, only whole foods. I have cooked everything I've eaten, and not eaten outside my home at all. The only thing I have eaten from a container is this powder. I have been having headaches, my hands keep going numb, and my heart has been racing. At first I thought there was something wrong with me. I didn't suspect the powder because I thought it was perfectly fine since it only contains 1 ingredient, and it's organic. A few weeks ago, I had the worst period of my life. Extremely heavy and cramping so bad I was doubled over in pain. I had to take pain medication it was so bad. This is extremely rare for me! The period ended and I was ready to consult a doctor about all of these symptoms. THEN I got my next batch of powder in the mail.... and on it, was a sticker I had never seen before. It stated the product had been known to cause reproductive harm and birth defects!!!!! I knew immediately that was why I had such an awful period. I checked my other container that was almost empty, and the sticker was no where on it. Right now I'm thanking God this container had the sticker, or I might not have ever suspected the hemp protein being the cause. Since discovering this, I have stopped using it and wouldn't you know, the symptoms are fading. I checked with my health coach, and she told me that because this hemp is highly processed to extreme temperature degrees, it contains very large amounts of msg and a whole host of other nasty surprises including aspartame, which is listed in the amino acids section of this product as aspartic acid. Do yourself a big favor, and DO NOT buy this product!!
