I carefully followed directions to clear a partially clogged kitchen drain. After 3 days of treatments, the drainage was getting worse when I added water to flush out the clog. Since this product claims the bacteria and enzymes devour organic matter, I did a test. I put a scoop of Bio Clean in a glass pitcher and added 2 cups water, stirred to dissolve, then added 1 tsp of lard, one small clump of hair and less than a tablespoon of a cooked rice/pasta combination. I covered the pitcher and set it where it wouldn't be disturbed. At the end of the first day, Image 1, there was no difference. The lard and hair floated near the top of the solution and the rice mixture settled on the bottom. Image 2 shows the results after four days. There is no evidence of any breakdown of the lard, hair, or rice. If I had bought this just to keep the plumbing clean, I would have no way of knowing whether it was working, until the day a pipe clogged. I am contacting the company for a refund and will gladly return the nearly full container. I can only think paid employees or family members are writing the rave reviews.
