For the price, I was not expecting a Cadillac so to speak, but this thing is awful. I like to leave positive reviews when I write them, but I don't have much positive to say about this product. The product has so many design flaws: 1) The screws only fasten to the door, not into the panel on the opposite side of the door, so they have you put some cheap sticky thing on the back side of the door that will probably not last beyond a month, and that also interferes a bit with the fit. The screws are so cheap that if the cat pushes on this when the door is locked it will probably just fall off. 2) The template is not very exact, so I had to re-cut a few times to get the opening the right size. 3) The biggest flaw though, is that there is no sleeve that goes through the door at all, so from the back side of the door there is just a big gaping hole if you have a hollow door, which pretty much everybody is going to have these days. It looks awful, and we fear the cat's leg will get stuck in there or get cut on the exposed screws inside the door. I waited too long to install the product to be able to return it now, but I hope I save others from the disappointment that would come with getting one of these. Don't buy.
