This device appears to be falsely claiming surge protection feature. The device I received does not list any surge protection rating on the nameplate. This would be the only SPD that I've seen that didn't list a transient surge voltage rating. The Amazon listing also states that it monitors for property wired receptalce, but I removed the ground connect by inserting a 3 prong - 2 prong adapter between the wall receptalce and this device and the green light still was on, even without a ground connection. My other brand SPD devices know when Ground is missing by turning off their 'protected' light. I think this is falsely advertised device by seller. Plan to return device.
