Do not buy!! Where exactly is the ceramic? It's aluminum which is a magnet for dust, not to mention a fire hazard
Bought this heater 4 months ago and was initally impressed. With time, the fan turned slower and slower until I became worried of a fire hazard. I took it apart to see what was going on. This was no small feat as I had to dig out my security bit set for a spanner bit to remove two of the 4 screws holding the front and rear plastic housing together. The heat sink unit IS NOT CERAMIC, IT'S ALUMINUM! It was packed full of dust and wouldn't have been accessible for cleaning or vacuuming without taking it out of the plastic housing. I use the heater only in the morning and evenings in my bathroom while getting ready for work and ready for bed. In my opinion, the grid on back of unit where air draws in needs a filter. The dust that accumulated in the heater was normal house dust. After I cleaned and re-assembled, it wouldn't turn on again even though I didn't touch any of the electronics or wiring. I use a DeLongi heater in our other bathroom which I bought in 2003 and it's still going strong. This little Lasko heater was a waste of money and it's too late to return it. Oh yeah, it doesn't have any safety features either - doesn't turn off when it falls over or is picked up. There goes another electrical device/appliance to the landfill. Very sad.
