After a friend mentioned he wished he had a CD player for his holiday party, we decided to purchase him a boombox; we'd have preferred to have bought something more substantial but didn't, at the time, have the funds so settled on this. I wish we could have waited: the sound was weak and at once tinny and mushy, and, better still, the CD's he used skipped on occasion. The power also came and went, probably due to a loose adapter connection, I would assume. The size of it was nice and it's attractive, in a rather sleek, bare-bones way, and the controls were clear. I should have known to be hesitant, though: over the years I've learned that GPX products are generally substandard, and that's being generous. Of course, YOU may have better luck with this purchase. Caveat emptor.
