My previous norelco of a comparable model, which lasted 8 years with no problems, fell apart literally in my hands necessitating getting a new one. Thought I'd stick with the same brand. This new norelco simply fails to compare. First, it was difficult to find a norelco in this price range that operated while it was plugged in {so you can use it at full power}. Then, it took almost 10 hours for the initial full charge {manual does advise this}, seems to loose charge fairly quickly, and the rotors do not spin nearly as fast as the old model so, therefore, it is nowhere near as powerful {suspect this is so they can make a 'runs quieter' marketing claim}. It was 100% necessary to use a blade razor to get a clean shave, which wasn't true of the old model - and - I have a much lighter beard growth density than most men. Will return this one for an electric shaver by a different brand. Phillips-Norelco has lost yet another customer.
