BUY LOSS INSURANCE - you're going to need it. Take advantage of purchase in first 48 hours, and purchase this on a credit card with loss protection. Experienced drone pilot, flying on a farm - nobody around. Drone in cinematic mode, 75' flight elevation, 600' GEOFENCING, and drone was 400' away, direct line of sight. Lost control of drone, attempted Return to Home, LAND, and KILL - nothing worked - drone flew away beyond the horizon. DJI batteries have amazing flight time - BAD NEWS FOR ME. Walked 7,000' across fields, pasture, woods looking for drone as this was the maximum distance it should have flown at 1.4M/s with remaining battery charge. No Joy. Drone apparently flew until it hit an unknown geofencing limit, and then attempted return to home. It overshot by 250' and landed in thick, dense forest. Sync, Find My Drone would not connect to drone. Apparently, it hit geofencing limit, attempted RTH and then had to hover since it was over trees. Then, it dropped from the sky into the forest. Even though the radio controller could not connect, combing through overgrown forest finally found the drone the next morning. GPS accuracy is a major concern, especially with Return to Home. I am extremely skeptical of the quality of drone software and hardware at this point. This Drone cannot at the current time use downloaded waypoints for flying missions autonomously - that means only the Return to Home function is your lifeline to figure out where the drone has flown to, if you lose controller connectivity during a flight. ALWAYS do these each flight Calibrate drone compads Calibrate drone IMU update your HOME position Test find your drone Update confirm your maximum height, distance and RTH height. Know the kill switch on the controller and test it
