Ok... let me say that I really DO like this machine. It works exactly as promised..... so, what’s the issue.... I purchased it 4 days ago at that big box store because, IF you do, it’s CHEAPER and there is a LIFETIME WARRANTY. So far so good. I read yesterday, that people were having issue with a specific part, called a fan, that the spindles and oscillating unit mate with, like a drive wheel. This part is plastic and fails. I went to RIDGID to order a spare and found out the part was OBSOLETE. In fact, it can’t be purchased anywhere. Contacting a Ridgid, I found out that the drive mechanism has been changed, but the model # has not... so thereks no way to know if you have a “new” unit or a “newer” unit. Bug issue and VERY sneaky.
