Every customer who reads, on the Amazon site, that this Battery Tender product has a 10-year warranty will assume that within those ten years the product can be returned for repair (without charge for the repair) or replacement (without charge for the replacement), at the manufacturer’s discretion. What Deltran DOES charge you, during a substantial portion of that warranty period, is an evaluation fee to determine what’s wrong with the unit and how they’ll deal with it. This is an outright deception. In my experience, it’s a fine charger, and I’ve never had a problem with it. But if I ever do I have problem, it may be cheaper to buy a new charger through any retail outlet than to pay the evaluation fee plus shipping. The warranty period, as clearly stated on the “From the Manufacturer” section of the Amazon page for this product, is a lie. Hence the single star.
