This book is just bad events strung together in lazy writing. So much happens yet the content of this book is a whole lot of nothingness. Not one character in this book was remotely interesting and their only function was to compliment James. Abbi has no personality of her own and is very clearly seen as a woman in need of saving. The way the author romanticized and trivialized issues such as rape, self harm, abuse, and school shootings. James is hands down the worst case of a Gary Sue I've seen in a book published by an "adult". Hands down worst book I've read in a long time, insulting.
