Upon plugging this into both computers and connecting my usb device, things were working. I was able to press the button and swap the attached device between my desktop and laptop. There was a little delay, but i figured thats part of the process when registering usb devices. I pressed the button to switch again and it lagged even more. Again I pressed after it switched and it no longer functioned. I moved the usb cable to a different port on my desktop and it still wasnt behaving like anything was attached. I unplugged my peripheral and plugged it directly into my computer in the same port the sabrient usb switch was plugged in and nothing. My desktop was acting like there was nothing plugged in. I plugged it in to the ports on the front and my usb keyboard starts working again. I move it back to the back and its not functioning. I have since not been able to get anything to work on any usb port I plugged this sabrient usb switch into. I highly recommend not using this device This sabrient usb device has made the bank of usb ports I plugged this into non-functional. Maybe the one you get wont do this, but i wouldnt have taken the chance if i had heard this was a possibility.
