I got this game hoping it would be fun for those in the family who are math whizzes as well as for those who struggle. I visualized playing it at say, a family reunion with people from 4 to 95. I like how certain math concepts are shown visually. (Even had a few AHA! moments, just looking at the board) I'm writing this review long after the last time we played, but basically we tried playing this twice and were so bogged down in trying to get going that we gave up. I recall that the instructions were very confusing (as others have said), but aside from that, certain specifics seemed to be missing, so there were ambiguities is how to proceed. My husband, a scientist who is a believer (math is the language of the universe!), agreed that the instructions were incomprehensible. Also, getting to the end of this game and "winning" doesn't seem terribly exciting. Maybe we were missing something key? I see all the great reviews and I think we must have missed something!
