I tried them all!
I tested (5) different tablet stands with my Samsung S7+ (12.4") and iPad Pro (11") in several cases (including narrow profile Samsung case, and larger profile Fintie cases). Some of my apps (Hevy, Pinpal, etc.) only work in portrait mode so I was particularly interested in portrait mode stability.
KABCOM - 5 Stars, best for around the house:
• Most robust: largest support surface and stiffest hinges
• Minimal wobble in portrait, great for use with S-Pen
• Wide lips to accommodate thick tablet covers like my Fintie cases. No problem for me on S7+ or iPad Pro but possibility of lips blocking tablet buttons so check your dimensions
• I am keeping as it is excellent for around the house, but folds a bit thick for travel which is where Omoton might be an option
OMOTON - 4.5 Stars, best for travel:
• Also has stiff hinges
• Provides most rubber gripping of all items tested
• Folds to half the thickness of Kabcom so is easier for travel, but they could have further reduced the folded thickness by cutting slots into the base for it to fold even flatter.
• Lip depth works for our S7+ and Ipad Pro but curved lips are less deep than Kabcom. If you have a super thick case, might be borderline.
• Smaller support surface than Kabcom which is fine for landscape. However with rubber feet on the bottom, it's very easy to place it down on a hard surface for portrait mode for minimal wobble and great with S-Pen. Of the 5 tablet stands I tested, this is the only one with rubber feet under the lip (not necessary on Kabcom).
• I am keeping for travel in my tablet bag.
KDD - 3 Stars, innovative design but drawbacks
• Folds to the flattest profile of all 5 products I tested
• Although hinges are quite stiff, the long support back creates longest moment arm making it more prone to movement or wobble with less force in portrait.
• Average lip depth, no rubber feet under the lip.
• Wobbly in portrait mode with pen. Did not feel comfortable trusting my tablets in it.
• Returned.
Nulaxy A5 - 2 Stars
• Love Nulaxy's phone stands but too small to comfortably support either my S7+ or iPad Pro in portrait mode
• Returned
Anozer - 1 Stars
• Hinges were far too loose. It could not securely hold up either of my devices.
• Even if I got a lemon, support face was too small for my devices
• Returned
