Full chapters without a single illustration
I am sooo disappointed. I absolutely love the illustrations when the pages actually have illustrations. There are numerous chapters with only 1-2 small illustrations, throughout the entire chapter. There is at least three chapters (The Egg and the Eye, The Parting of the ways, Mayhem at the Ministry) where there isn’t a single illustration other than the boarder on the chapter title page. The pages aren’t even embellished (see photo). Some examples per chapter- The Yule ball: 1 illustration The Third Task: 2 illustrations, 1 embellished page Rita Skeeter’s Scoop : 1 illustration The unexpected Task: 1 full 1 small illustration The Four Champions: 1 medium illustration The Goblet of Fire: 1 full 2 small portrait illustrations The Unforgivable Curses: 1 small illustration 2 embellished pages The Triwizard Tournament: 1 small illustration The Pensieve: 1 small illustration 1 embellished page. Veritaserum: 1 illustration The Madness of Mr. Crouch Padfoot returns: 1 very small illustration 1 duplicate illustration (from earlier in the book) Those are for an entire chapter! At one point there are •20• blank pages in a row! Also a lot of the end of chapters are just entirely wasted space. So it isn’t because they didn’t have the room. There first 1/5 of this book is a bit more consistent with the first couple of books but the illustrations become very few and way too far between.
