Power input requirements not compatible with standard USB cable. You must use th special adaprter/cable supplied with the unit.
Very poor design; you MUST use the special cord that comes with this unit, as it does not work with a standard 5vdc USB cord. Which means you have to plug it in to the ciragette lighter socket and drive around with the cord draped over your dash and/or mirror. I wanted to have a clean, hidden installation using the 5 vdc USB cord I used for my previous Garmin unit, a Nuvi 205, but it will not work with standard 5vdc USB power.
